Getting Started

Please take a moment to review the following information:

Initial Telephone Consultation:
I will seek basic information about your reason for seeking services, and determine if I will be able to assist you, based on my educational background and areas of clinical expertise. If I am not, I will endeavor to help you find other mental health referrals within our community.

The initial session is $150.00, and each session thereafter, whether marriage, family, or individual, is $125.00. The length of time for a session is approximately 55 minutes.

I am an in-network provider for several health insurances, excluding Medicare and Medicaid. In an effort to prevent you from incurring unexpected charges, please contact your insurance company prior to your first session to verify your beneifts. If I am considered “out of network,” you wil be responsible for the total cost of services.

If you use Blue Cross Blue Shield insurance of N.C., I am required to participate in in a health care exchange system entitled NC Health Connex to seek reimbursement. The purpose of this exchange of information is for continuity of care, and allows other providers t0 access your mental health records. You have the right to request to opt out of this shared communication.

Payment is due at at time of service, and may be paid by cash, check, or debit/credit card.

Cancellation Policy:
A 24-hour cancellation is required to avoid paying the full cost of session.

Good Faith Estimate:
Effective January 1, 2022, The No Surprises Act, which Congress passed as part of the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2021, requires health care providers to give patients a good faith estimate of the bill for services to those who don’t have insurance, or are not using insurance. You will receive a verbal and written notice of your expected costs within one business day of beginning services. If your bill is $400.00 or more than the estimate, you may dispute the bill.
